San Mateo Kendo Dojo re-opened on September 14, 2021 after the long COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

We didn't practice kendo for more than 550 days after March 10, 2020 when the lockdown started. We started practice slowly on the first day but everyone was happy to see their practice partners and practice kendo again.

We take COVID-19 prevention measures very carefully so that currently only fully vaccinated students are allowed to join our practice.

The registration requirements have been updated for both San Mateo and Foster City locations. Bogu-wearing students should sign up for Advanced. Non-bogu-wearing students should sign up for Beginners.
