Shiomi sensei sadly said farewell to us and moved back to Japan in March due to his job assignment.

We appreciate his contribution to San Mateo dojo and presented our gift to him on February 27th.

He received a hakama which had our words of appreciation embroidered. Paul worked very hard to make this happen and delivered it to Shiomi sensei's home. Due to COVID-19 circumstances, Michi arranged a Zoom meeting which other kenshi could join to greet Paul online.

Sayonara, Shiomi sensei. Thank you for all of your wonderful kendo teaching and your friendship. Please drop in to our practice anytime when you come back to US.
